Welcome to Sparrow Christian Counseling.
Embrace the journey ahead; where healing and hope lead to a new, peaceful tomorrow.
Again Welcome! We are so glad you are here. At Sparrow Christian Counseling, we believe in the power of healing. If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, conflict, past trauma or your relationship, you are in the right place. Know that you don’t have to carry these burdens alone. Healing is possible, and we’re here to help.
Peace, hope and joy are available to you, and we’re ready to help you build a resilient path forward as you find hope in your future.
What we believe:
· Faith is Foundational – Having faith in something bigger than oneself and knowing you’re not the only solution to your problems, nor are you in control of everything that’s happening. God has not forgotten you. Faith provides a foundation for which everything else is built upon and offers hope in the healing process.
· You are Resilient– You are going to be ok. You can survive most anything. Some of the hardest moments speak to your strength, endurance and God’s work in you. This too shall pass. Your struggles can shape your personality and become a tool to offer others who are struggling.
· Hope for change – Tomorrow is not set in stone, and you can still make changes today. The way things are is not how they’ll always be, and you can do something about it. God is at work and it’s ok to be uncomfortable. Be a learner and see how God is making changes in you. Knowing change takes time, it’s a process and not a single event.
· You are Set Apart – You don’t have to agree with everything the world and society tells you. You were uniquely created and the plans for your life don’t look like anyone else’s. It’s ok to struggle and wrestle with different values and beliefs, but realize this is making you stronger and more convicted.
· Changing the future – You can become more aware of how your past is shaping you today, and decide who you want to be in the future. You have the ability to change paths and even take new journeys forward.

About me
Ashleigh Rankin, LCSW
I believe all of us desire deep and meaningful relationships above all else, however, sometimes our past, patterns/habits, traumas, and fears get in the way of these relationships. As a child of divorce, continuous moving of homes and schools, I learned early the importance of creating meaningful relationships. As a Christian, I have also learned that our personal struggles become the greatest source of growth and character development in our faith.
Working with couples is a source of great joy for me. Couples who desire to fix the brokenness and persevere through life’s greatest blessing and challenge is exactly who I desire to work with. After experiencing what seemed like endless dating and the pain of being the last one of my friends and family to marry, then difficulty having a baby and a proclivity towards people- pleasing, I am now thankful to God for the amazing husband he brought me and our two precious children.
My strengths and expertise as a therapist are my ability to put people at ease, enjoy the process no matter how challenging and to understand the core issues very quickly. As a Christian counselor, I adhere to biblical teachings as the foundation for my practice. I’m wildly empathetic, like to find laughter and joy in everyday life, and have brought with me from previous jobs, a wealth of knowledge in the areas of professional development, inter-personal communication and effectiveness, and marriage and couples therapy. My background is Faith based as well as couples and marriage counseling, adult attachment theories, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), the enneagram and leadership coaching to help clients achieve their goals through counseling. You do not need to be a Christian or even Faith based, I work with a variety of clients from all faith backgrounds and will be respectful of your views.
Let’s get to know each other

As Paul David Tripp so eloquently describes in New Morning Mercies, my goal is to be Christs’ Ambassador for my clients.
“Jesus makes his invisible presence visible through his people…
You are the look on Christ’s face. You are the tone of his voice. You are the touch of his hands. You are the physical representative of his grace. This is your mission in every relationship of your life…”
